The One Ring: The Initiation Box contains everything you need to discover this role-playing game, take your first steps in Middle-earth and join in the adventures of the Hobbits. It's a curious invitation from cousin Bilbo. How strange! But then, a lot of strange things have been happening around this Hobbit since the affair with the Dragon. So there's nothing wrong with taking a little walk to help old Bilbo out! With this boxed set, players will be introduced to the game through simplified rules and pre-started characters, allowing them to get quickly into the adventure. The setting is after Bilbo's journey (in the novel The Hobbit) and before the events of The Lord of the Rings. It's a chance to explore the Shire in the shoes of some of the Hobbits - Drogon Baggins, Rory Brandebouc and Esmeralda Touque, for example, whose children later go on to perform extraordinary feats.
